Complete Scholarship Details
The process is simple. Anyone may nominate an outstanding student by submitting a completed application and writing sample through our online portal. Each fall, we will select one high school senior from each state to receive a $7,500 scholarship. In addition, on an annual basis we will select two students from each of six countries to receive $10,000 scholarships. Since 1982, we have awarded 541 scholarships totaling over $4 million to deserving students around the world for study at Ferris State University.

Scholarship Requirements
All students from any background, culture, or nation with minimum 60% average marks can apply for Ferris State university scholarship program. Every student must be a single one parent family. Because student will study abroad in USA for 4 years for better higher education opportunities in universities as well as colleges . The Scholarship is issued on merit basis only with provision of complete fee waiver + $2,000 per year stipend + other allowances which includes $200 per month starting from January 2019 and it continue till September 2020.
Important Dates
If you plan to apply for a Ferris State merit scholarship, keep in mind that applications must be submitted by February 1. Application Process
The application process for a scholarship at Ferris is no different than applying for a degree. You’ll need to submit: The Application For Admission, Personal Statement, High School Transcripts and Standardized Test Scores (ACT or SAT). The deadline to apply is April 15th of each year.

Eligibility Criteria
The faculty-selected 2022 Woodbridge Scholarship recipients are awarded $8,000 per year, renewable for four years, contingent upon their continued enrollment in a degree program at Ferris. To be eligible for consideration, students must meet all of the following requirements: demonstrate financial need; be accepted into an undergraduate degree program at Ferris State University; hold (or anticipate receiving) a cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale; and have an ACT composite score of 25 or higher. A record of volunteer service or community engagement is highly desired by our selection committee but not required to apply for consideration.
How to Apply
Eligible students can apply for a Ferris State University endowed scholarship by submitting an application form, letter of recommendation and essay. Applications are accepted from September 1 through October 15. Finalists will be notified in mid-November and asked to interview with Ferris faculty in early December. Winners will be announced later that month and awarded at Winter Commencement on January 26, 2019.

Scholarship Award Amounts
A limited number of $10,000 and $5,000 scholarships are awarded to full-time Ferris students in each academic year. The minimum GPA is 2.5 with an ACT score of 24 or a combined SAT score of 970 (includes Critical Reading and Math). To be eligible for either scholarship, you must submit an essay application by November 1st and meet all general admission requirements at Ferris State University. Your essay topic must relate to one of these questions: Describe a time when you overcame adversity in your life; List three personal goals that you have for yourself for next year; or Identify someone who has made a difference in your life.
